After "Das Boot" he plays 1983 as an actor in the german movie "Frühlingssinfonie". This movie was the first co-production of West- and East- Germany. In preparation for this role, he lived for half a year in the GDR.

2007 he was acting as a doctor in the movie Control, a film about Ian Curtis, lead singer of the band Joy Divison.

My first contact with his music was 1982 when he sang his song about a very popular German fast food dish, the Currywurst.
