Wouldn't it be an interesting twist if it were a corncob pipe?

I propose that we mandate a 10 day waiting period before you are allowed to buy pipes.

All owners of pipes should be made to smoke them.

Well one thing is for sure, unless he screws up somehow he'll be Milwaukee's Mayor for life. He might even get a statue someday.

Oddly enough, this past weekend WI Gov. Doyle (probably one of the most corrupt state-heads in the nation) announced he won't be running for re-election. In 2002 Doyle BARELY beat Barrett in the Democrat primary. How that plays out will be interesting. |

I was never a huge fan of Barrett, but I have to tip my hat to him for this. He did the right thing and paid a serious price for it, although it looks like he'll be fine.
As for Doyle leaving, good riddance. It'll be interesting to see who replaces him. None of the current declared candidates are real stars, although if Tommy Thompson throws his hat into the ring it's all over. |

In any case, the attacker's mother blames Barrett for getting involved. Can you believe it? |
