My watch crew is unexperienced.

I needed to edit this image a little because it was quite dark.

As you can see I used TC and it is 21.00 hours now. Sometimes going submerged to listening about the heading of the two warships.

My crew did not see (I did!) one warship.

Because of the limited speed (14 knots) it is not easy to find a good spot and wait for those two warships. My diesel engines are getting HOT!

To be continued ...

I had a similar encounter this evening, on my way home from the North Channel, with only two eels left in fore tubes, in Octobrer 1939. I was south to Fãröer Islands when my lookouts reported warships. Submerged to PD since it was in broad daylight, then I made a run (NWN) to try anyway to intercept a task force with Southampton and another big thind that I couldn't identify. I gave un when they passed the 000 bearing, turned away and left some distance before surfacing to send a Fũhlungsmeldung (just for immersion...), which I had to give up as well since I had to dive immediately for a plane.
Quite frustrating indeed...
Have yu finally got them?

I got one of them, unfortunately I did not make a screenshot. The other Shouthampton got a torpedo too, but managed to sail further. I must stay at the moment submerged ... The captain of the Shouthampton has called reinforcements and now I am being hunted by 4 warships. FRUSTRATING!

Depth under keel is 108 meters ... I am afraid that this will be difficult and maybe me and my crew will die?

But I will try to survive!

Default The end of two Southampton warships.

The first torpedo did not do the job!

As you can see it is 01.22 hours.

Here it is 06.44 hours and finally I was able to sink the other Southampton with torpedo tube V.

Observation scope view, Shouthampton is sinking.

The distance between the two Southampton warships, North East.

Status report sent to BdU. Will they be happy?

All images edited: brightness and contrast. They were quite dark.

Thank you all for the advises ...

... and I agree with Tomfon:
