So what is your point Tchocky?

Kind of a backup to grundman there.

I don't see NK being stupid enough to launch a live rocket.

I do not see it either but NK persists with it. Do you think it is prudent to keep abreast of NK's moves? I would say so.

this is the pertinent bit of my post, boss. But i'll do a trousers check if you require it (starting with rockstar)

If my initial assumption is found to be wrong, i'll make the following declaration in my sig!

Well, I'm relieved, what with insane dictators having such a good track record of doing what makes sense and in the best interest of their people.

What's truly sad is that millions of people are suffering daily under this idiot and the Western world cares little. A colossal crime against humanity is being carried out, as bad as slavery, and nothing is done.

I'm really beginning to believe there is a grudge from the Korean War here. It is almost on the edge of being nuts if not already nuts.

He's got a very well-developed sense of self-interest and self-preservation. Launching a missile at anyone doesn't mesh well with that.

Oh, and you know this how? A dying man in control of a nuclear arsenal is not typically the most rational man on the planet.

Any regime that survives as long as the North Korean regime in such a hostile environment has to have a VERY good sense of self-preservation. If Kim were as insane as some people here think he is, his regime would have fallen within months.

As awful as Kim and co. may be, they are seriously good when it comes to their main priority - staying in power.

(or atlease i surspect... Krazy Kim would be in his shelter if he has one...

The USA would not send any over unless in retaliation. My original post concerns a bit of muscle flexing on the part of the USA. Would you agree?

Any overt act of aggression by the DPRK would mean their quick and painful end (And this time they won't have the Chinese coming over to save them), launching something in the direction of the US just might be the best thing that happened to the ultimate stability of the region in 50 years

yea. I agree about that

I say, that as soon (if ever) as KK tells the idiot to fire the missile that the us should get interceptor missiles ready, and fire a counterattack against them...

I still get this feeling that the koreans arnt gonna do a thing.

the nk are useing this missile like a angry 5 year old laying down, banging there fists and yelling. they see it gets them what they want, there name in the news, and diplomatic attempts which has just helped them out.

I suspect they will not do anything because it is a no win situation for all involved.
