You've got me beat by eight months. However, there are members well into their seventies. But by "oldest" Neal meant the one who has been a member the longest.

I turned 65 last March ... but all I got was a phone call a week later from my son saying, "Hey dad when's your birthday"

I say give the award to Sailor Steve ... he's been the best overall poster and supporter of all that is decent and good order at subsim even though at least half of his post have been to correct others mis-spellings lol

But in my defense I did get here in 99 ... I just can't prove it

And to think, we had another forum before that one that dates back to 1997...

Heh, I was trying to find that old forum but no matter where I looked, nothing came up.

Btw, a select few (and I mean few) of the old threads and posts are available at that site, but it is luck of the draw. In any case, I'm totally pissed that I missed Subsim at that point, even though I was playing sub games! How dare you not be popular enough in your infancy to not be known by me!

Like I said earlier ... Neal, best site on the net, hands down! You know your thing and make it happen for everyone else who gets the point.
