Does anyone know how many little birds usually survive from one falcon family?

I think that it depends on the availability of food in the area. I know that some species of eagle only raise 1 eaglet. The mother will lay 2 eggs & the older eaglet (the first to hatch) will kill the younger one within a few days. The parents won't intervene while this is going on. The 2nd egg is laid as a kind of insurance policy in the event the 1st one doesn't hatch for some reason.
I like owlets (baby owls). They're pretty cute.
