Does having 3 trained helmsmen in the control room improve U-Boat performance?

I didnt mean the Chief Eng no Steve,the other guy at the pumps.

I thought,if i'm going to have a warrant officer or two in the command room it would be the one at the pumps first,acting like a sort of Bosun,monitoring the other two sat next to him (this seems realistic).As the command room is the 'brains' of the UBoat I wanted 3 skilled men at the helm to reflect this,but as you say,it makes no difference.
I think the more skilled men there are in an area it should be reflected by marginally improved...what ever needs improving.
