You are right, of course. This should be quite easy to do by increasing the renown in the basic.cfg file as the war goes on, and using CMDR to insert the files into the game. If I have time, I may do this.

My preference is to remove the renown completely and add more time in port for the installation of the apparatus.

Good propganda flick:






Snorkels created several problems for their users. A U-boat with a snorkel raised was limited to six knots to avoid breaking the tube, and its sound detection gear was deafened by the roaring of the air being sucked down the tube. Most dramatically, snorkels were equipped with automatic valves to prevent seawater from being sucked into the diesels, but when these valves slammed shut the engines would draw air from the boat itself before shutting down, causing a partial vacuum which was extremely painful to the ears of the crew and sometimes even ruptured eardrums

Default I think I got the wrong file.

I tried to edit the main.cfg in my
C:Games\Data\Cfg\ Folder.
In there I see that there is only place where there is renown so I set it to 0.00000

I see renown in the Basic.cfg file quit abit.

As for my captains file in SH3 which one is it?
I am looking at my SH3\data\cfg\Careers\Hans Zube, in there I have found the delta renown in the Patrols files,, there is a Patrols 1 also.

Thanks for the help in this I see quite abit in some of these files. I havn't really looked into game files since FS days.
