I have saved in all those situations and more. No issues with the saves. Always just as I left it. I suspect something else is happening.

How is TMO and RSRD loaded? TMO first? Is it TMO 1.7? Do you have RSRD that is updated for TMO 1.7? TMO 1.7 has an enviromod already with the mod package. You have not loaded any other enviro mod or any other mod for that matter?

The game is a fresh, careful install on a new hard drive.

I have:

TMO1.7

TMO Hot Fix

TMO old Enviormentals (tried the game without this enabled and still have the same problem)

Max Optics & Scaf fix

RSRDC_TMO170_V411

Sun down is at 23:40 close to Japan. Is that correct, i can't remember?.

Everything is fine as long as i restart the game before loading it back.

Your loading of mods looks right. Are you aware that the submarines operated on Honolulu time no matter where they were? This would account for the darkness at a time in your mind it should be sunny and bright.

Even so, I would really like to see a return of the "local time" display that was a part of the SH3 interface. Otherwise, we're going to see all of these "why is it dark when it's 1500 in the afternoon posts" all over again with SH5. :rotfl:

Hello,
don't know whether it could have something to do with the regional settings ? Playing CFS3 and OFF there is a problem with the "." and "," values and its internal calculations, range and time can be totally messed up depending on whether you have a US, or european disk of CFS3, along with you OS system settings. - Only an idea ..
Greetings,
Catfish

It looks like they orignally planned it that way. In SH3 to see the local time and date you just put the cursor over the main 'Time' display. In SH4 you can do that too, but instead of 'Local Time' the new display says 'Base Time', and shows the same thing.

Very curious.
