Finally we are proud to present the english version of "Fall of the rising sun!" FOTRS is a super mod like Trigger Maru and was developed for Silent Hunter 4 version 1.4!

First of all we would like to mention that TMO (Trigger Maru Overhauled by Ducimus on www.subsim.com) was the base and inspiration of this modpack. Special thanks to Ducimus and all other modders for their work ! In addition we would like to note, that “Fall of the rising sun” is just a modpack and not a mod for itself. That means, that “FOTRS” is a bundle of many already existing modifications. The copyright of each modification belongs to its developer. We just have modified and supplemented these modifications with our ideas.

In the past there have been missunderstandings because some thought that we wanted to make profit with the work of others. But the missunderstandings could be cleared upiron out.

Every important information about FOTRS can be found in the readme!

The modpack has to be activated with JSGME (Generic Mod Enabler).

Nope,

its made only for 1.4 cause 1.5 UBM is a Bugcenter !

buuhhhh.. how will I get a sh4 v1.4 install here... might have to get a new machine... all my TMO+RSRD, Op Monsun and RFB run over sh4 v1.5

Love the mod but there is still places where it is german. Like the sections of the ship and some of the tools on the bars. Thanks for the mod and keep up the good work.

F1,Number pad delete,hides interface.INOP. I can man AA guns w/crew through the engine order telegraph interface,but he is stuck in the slot. That would be the FLAC BUG slot . How do I move crewman ? also is FLAC BUG,for.,or aft. ?:hmm:

Answers:FLAC BUG,is forward AA Num Lock,needs to be on,for Num Pad Delete to work Nine spreche Deutsch But other wannabes Pacific Aces might NTW !

Thanx for the compliments.

An small Bugfix with english named ships and some more english parts will follow soon.
This Bugfix also contents more harbourtraffic in the US-Navalbases.
Sorry that i have forget to translate some things.
Iam very busy in this time cause i got an new job where i have to work 55 hours in a week.

But i hope that you all can live another 1-2 weeks with some german parts in FOTRS until it is fixed.

well, I did it...

I uninstalled sh4 from the pc (that is, I removed via uninstall), erased the sh4 folder in the my documents, checked to see all removed in the registry (but I didnt touch the other copies I had stashed all over the hard disks)

rebooted, installed sh4, new reboot, made a run of the program and then I found I didnt have patch 1.4... downloaded that. installed it. once more reboot, now I made two copies of the sh4 ver1.4 folder..... ran multish4 and jgsme on them and installded FOTRS on one of them, keep the other as a clean v1.4 install.

made a quick run over pearl, looks nice.

tonight i will put UBM back in the main program files.

one other thing... all the installs copied of op mosun, tmo+rsrd etc are fully functional.... thank God.

will give FOTRS another try.. for first mission Im going to ::::::::::: and :::::::::: in ::::::::::: soory, why ruin the surprise.

Even with surface radar off,I'm still getting radar contacts.A patrol vessel not yet in visual range appears as radar contact. Then game must close (error) Can't get within Penang visual range ? This is agent insertion mission Penang CTD. Any thoughts

AOTD_MadMax,when you get the time investagate please.:hmm: Thought;I am getting .tga shape not found due to deleting the .dds dot files in sea/ship file.So I'm thinking,if I could ID.ship I could import correct files. Range to contact 10 NM,clear as a bell weather,no visual. I AM AWARE,there are 3 merchants,& another patrol vessel in harbor.But no radar contact when must close

Read me link not working for me.... and I am one of those on a very limited internet connection... 28.8k and only 5 gig a month...... Who would have thought 20 minutes outside Chicago and and no TV, internet etc and only cell phone access to anything..

Cannot wait to get back to Wisconsin.. Down here to help one of my daughters for a few months... I want to go home!! LOL
