Yeah, noticed that with KL's last post ( although the last line was different ) and a few others.
I'll pass this onto Neal.

@ PT: we'll pin your troubles on us , this time anyway

Might be interested in the game and some multiplayer action. It has not hit the shelves here yet. I have been searching.

Prepare for the mayhem and chaos to commence.

No....I don't mean from the game, but from Dowly and Hunter ICX

I was originally referring to this:

The problem with a true comparison of all the supermods is that it would require someone to play all of them - over and over again - and then write a detailed report of the exact differences in gameplay, graphics, sound and everything else. It would require months of dedicated devotion to giving equal time to all, and writing an unbiased report.

Any volunteers? Not me, by the way.

Any other comparison is subjective.

Pah!! Spoilsport!!

After that fantastic 'Adventure' thread, I'd have thought you were the perfect choice.....with assistance from Brag of course :p

Default hey

Regarding dissappearance of ships, I would just ask the people here, when you uncheck certain thingy in the mission editor while playing with campaign files(I don't remember the name, is it delete on end or something like that), is that the thing that is making those wac ships come to and stay in the ports without vanishing?
Isn't that ram eating disasterously.. And what happens with those ships in port after certain time, they go the same way back?
Just asking because I am wondering the same thing like the starter of this thread..
Cheers!

Delete at last waypoint....if it is not ticked, the unit will not disappear.

The build up of ships will cause a reduction in fps.

I've never played that much WAC so I can't say for sure what happens to them.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with you there, Steve. I carefully read the NYGM manual (twice) to see what I would get if I installed it, and I can say (without even having played it once) that -in my opinion- it's not as good as GWX. I can say this because even if it flawlessly delivers everything it says it does then it still won't be half of what I already have in GWX. So unless there's a bunch of undocumented features (I don't mean bugs) then it's just not as good.

To the OP:
I can't really comment on WAC because it's a PC-slayer. My machine can't run it and I don't see the point in trying the "lite" version. But I can heartily recommend GWX especially if you're a 'realism fanatic' as you say.

Thanks for info!

I am allready on the verge of 20fps with mods and gwx2.1.. Wouldn't be good to cut it down more.. 15gb ram, hd2600pro..

BTW..
I have added Holland canals to aotd mad max campaign with ports from sboot(rotterdam is in the wrong place in original?), with several nondelete boaties.. Can I send it to someone to "verify it is correctly done"? Someone with a will?

It is no biggy problem, the dissappearance, I guess, there is enuf boats in the harbors, and entering them is like eating..
Topic..
I never even tried other mods, other than gwx. WAC seems too fps eating and olc has spoken :rotfl:. NYGM looks interesting but I am not shure if I would like to meddle with installation nor do I have disk space..

But I never could understood how can people have 4+ installations of sh3 and play it. I have only one and I barely have the time to play it or will(long long campaigns). I chose one, I am satisfied and surprised what can people do for free().

Cheers to them!

EDIT: Remembered one more Uber GWX quality: it was made caring for perfomance and caring about players with not so speedy computers.. I am one of them.. The addon mods more than sufficiently let you upgrade gwx to the level of detail you like.. Or can play.. I am hearing about 3.0, I hope this perfomance care will remain important in that release..
