I also think the mosquitoes are the biggest pain here also, if they get in you will be eaten alive in your sleep.

Reminds me something I once found in a fortune cookie: 'If you think you're too small to accomplish anything, you have never been in bed with a mosquito'

Ugh, mozzies and gnats, open your mouth at the wrong time and you'll wind up eating a dozen of the buggers. Evening swarms...gah.
Our cat used to catch and eat the flies, but now she can't be bothered, so we use a fly swatter.

I heard that in Finland some reindeer die of the blood loss that is caused by swarms of mosquitoes in summer.

I don't think they can die from it but they migrate to get away from the mosquitos. Too much mosquitos may also bother the mother reindeers so that they give birth to dead calves.

Feeding reindeer meat to the hungry German war machine.

I did once see a drunk, passed out guy whose face was black with mosquitos. I'm sure his face itched 'a little' when he woke up.

I've heard of that happening in South America with cows.

Just shows what you know about your country.

I really don't know whether that is true or not but after having been to Finland in summer 92 I believed it from the spot.

That's because dead reindeer tell no tales, silly.

Hah! Try living in north Texas! We got two kinds of mosquitoes here as well; the kind you swat and the kind you shoot.

Yeah man i know what ya mean i hate the creatures with a vengeance, unless we get the home sprayed for flies before summer comes along then we get 100's of em every day, don't matter if we spring cleaned the house we still get the little basta*ds. What makes it worse is at night when on the pc and they land on your hands or head or hang around the monitor.

Its mid winter here now, not a fly in sight One of the reasons i prefer winter over summer any day, the cold doesn't bother me either.

Makes one wonder why exactly Noah bothered to take these flys and mosquitoes on board the ark.

Anyone remember the old Bill Cosby routine about Noah?

Right!
