i probably will. But that people are trying to guard "their secrets" sounds strange somehow. To me all the work that goes into modding a game like sh4 is a process with many people cooperating and not some kind of corporate research competion. *I* see no reason whatsoever not to share my findings with anyone interested, but maybe thats just me...
i'll give you that sometimes explaining stuff can become tiresome and you just don't have the time (and patience) to go over everything with someone who needs to do a lot of reading up before becoming serious about what he is trying to do. But imho it's not good for the community to have modders holding back some kind of "secrets".
I've never really been part of that community at the time but old falcon 4 and its various derivates (sp?) come to mind when i hear something like that. and that's not meant in a good way...
