Seems that there's nothing you can't build with Legos.
I wonder if it was a special kit?

Was thinking the same thing. Do the persons that build several things in Legos just use the normal pieces of the several collections of Lego (space, city, technic, etc) and use X pieces of the same to the goal, or they contact Lego for specific pieces?

I do remember my father building some great medieval castles with my legos, and used almost everything. Duplo pieces for the base and then the normal legos for the tower and walls!

That is incredible. You can get any single Lego piece you want. You can go to a Lego store or the online Lego Store. I looked, and didn't find the U-boat in the Lego store.

Lego sets have declined in the past 10 years.

When I was little, (yeah, never thought you'd hear that out of MY mouth right?) they had a set for just about everything. Now, you buy a lego set and it's 3 bricks plus 4 snap-together molded pieces that do all the building for you.

There's nothing to these newer ones.

Lego was much better when I was little and years before that probably.

A lot of these kind of people just basically freestyle it from what I understand. No special molded parts or kit directions. That's why I always admired them. I was a super-lego-fanboy until they started with all the molded parts, video games, and now a movie.
