I want that so bad :)

Seems that there's nothing you can't build with Legos.
I wonder if it was a special kit? |

I do remember my father building some great medieval castles with my legos, and used almost everything. Duplo pieces for the base and then the normal legos for the tower and walls! |
That is incredible. You can get any single Lego piece you want. You can go to a Lego store or the online Lego Store. I looked, and didn't find the U-boat in the Lego store.
:salute: |
Lego sets have declined in the past 10 years.
When I was little, (yeah, never thought you'd hear that out of MY mouth right?) they had a set for just about everything. Now, you buy a lego set and it's 3 bricks plus 4 snap-together molded pieces that do all the building for you. There's nothing to these newer ones. Lego was much better when I was little and years before that probably. A lot of these kind of people just basically freestyle it from what I understand. No special molded parts or kit directions. That's why I always admired them. I was a super-lego-fanboy until they started with all the molded parts, video games, and now a movie. |
Red October, you just need to trust me on this. My son is big time in to legos. They still sell the old fashioned kits. Yes, they do sell those you like you mentioned, but they're meant for the smaller kids.

Coolness aside, I wonder how much he spent on that? Those things ain't cheap!:o
I did find some of customized WW2 lego sets online. Pretty cool lookin'. The kid mentions the name of the customized kits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq3kuJjAEq4 |
Nice :yep:

5 to 6 years to build a type IX submarine is a real commitment, especially without any pre existing plans. :Kaleun_Periskop:
Wonder how many Lego kits he needed to get all the different parts? Maybe Lego could introduce a new adult range of models for those of us boys who never grew up and now have the pocket money to buy the kits we always dreamt of when younger. |
Did anyone else notice Indiana Jones and his Dad in the background? :haha:
