That would be very cool. I've seen different Flight Sim "SimPits" and I've even seen a company that makes MechWarrior cockpits.

Submarine stuff..... That has to involve a crazy amount of coding and stuff. I like the idea...but unless you have a programmer, a good amount of time, some money, and you are willing to take on a big work load.....I don't see it happening.

And, here's another thing to consider...

I'm not sure if modifying the game in a way you might need to use all your devices will even be legal. There's that Software Act thingy that prevents some certain things. I'm not well versed in Piracy/Modification Laws.

I'd go do some research if I was you.

Very cool idea though! I discovered "Simpits" a few months back when somebody brought up the idea of a USB Whiz Wheel for SH3. I spent a while on different flight cockpit sites looking at costs and requirements. It's no small project if you want a decent one.

For my flight sims? I usually lay down leaning up against something with speakers behind my head. One time, I was incredibly bored at home....So I built a Simpit out of blankets and pillows...put on some Turtle Beach headphones and turned them all the way up...then.....I had some fun with IL-2

(You are never too old for a pillow fort)
