Germans approached finns in winter -41-42 to inquire how to maintain fighting capability in winter. Initial response was that every soldier is to put on every piece of clothing he posesses, regardeless are they standard issue or not. Germans complained that military dicipline and protocol are to be maintained. Finns responded that russians will create some activity to keep germans exposed if troops are known to lack winter clothing. Thus freezing them slowly.
