In the last minutes of part 5 they say 11 U-Boote have been equipped with Alberich and none of them has been sunk by ASDIC operations.

I've left a comment on the first video on behalf of us here who don't understand german (or not well enough) asking if there are any english subtitles available at all.

The german that I know is very basic, limited to the odd phrase and of course, swear words. I can guess a fair bit due to similarities to norwegian but i'm better with the written language than the spoken.

Zimmerit paste is much less costly than anechoic tiles and is being applied to a smaller vehicle under much easier conditions - one doesn't have to drydock a PzKpfw VI to apply Zimmerit, for example.

Let me just say that in July 1944, I'm crusing in my brand new XXI.

I have Alberich and Tarnmatte.

Diving to 70 meters to avoid the P-38's, B-24's, PBY's, and the odd bombers, and the occasional DD that is unfortunate to cross my path, I'm glad to have it.

To answer the original question that was posed (Do Tarnmatte and Alberich work in the game?):

Tarnmatte on the schnorchel - yes, definitely. Install it as soon as you can for protection from radar-fitted aircraft.

Alberich - don't know, never tested by me.

Alberich improved - probably not, can't find any evidence at all in a series of controlled tests for the XXIII and VII U-boats.

Stiebler.
