okay I know this is a big subject but HELP!?

I have been trying to read and understand all the stuff people have been doing on the SJ and SD Radar I even downloaded what i think is the latest MOD for it but since Patch 1.2 I have never been able to pick up any planes what so ever and still having a problem picking up ships around certain areas of the boat.
Granted I have never been hit by a Plane bomb because of quick increase in speed and changing corse at the last second but it would be nice to have some advanced notice so I could dive ahead of time for safty if there are more than 2 planes.

I am not the greatest in tech stuff when it comes to mods and what not the Mod I am running now is Sensors Sub us.sim.

I think there is one newer than what I have but when I try the link out it dosn't bring me to the download just the main page and I can't find the download.
