ASDIC
Seems I recall in a documentary that ASDIC, especially earlier models used 39-41 or so, a limitation was if a sub was shallow, could not detect it or had difficulties. 50-90 ft depth? Is this correct? Wondering if should modify ASDIC in game to reflect this limitation.
Also, early radars (forget the model) were fixed, meaning the escort had to be pointed in direction of sub to detect, correct? |
