That's exactly what the deleted message on the Ubi forums fixed. All you need to do is edit some files to unlock the missions. They don't get downloaded from Ubi, they are already in the game. Of course, you can also cheat this way and for example, skip the early campaigns and move straight to the later ones, it's basic modding stuff like adding renown to your captain or upgrading your crew's stats in SH3.

As for what this thing does...it enables anyone to play the entire campaign without connecting to UBI. That means both the legitimate owners and those with a "bad" copy. We can't openly talk about how to do it due to forum rules though. But yes, it does work, you can play offline and UBI is lying when they say the "bad" version is nothing but a demo
