It's very nice, but what's the comparative advantage of this design over this replica of the historical tool here which includes a periscope overlay?
(in this picture the front and back sides are shown as separate entities, but normally they are all one - the back side is a speed omnimeter for solving speed using the collision course method) http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...6&postcount=84
