Default what file contains the accoustic sensors for torpedoes?

I'm looking for the file containing the info governing the search pattern used by the accoustic torpedoes (german and US) hoping to be able to tweak it to my requirements. can anyone help ?

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago and received no answers. I also checked pretty much all the files that can be read with either S3d or a text editor without finding anything, so it looks a lot like it's hardcoded. If anyone actually knows the answer I'd be interested to hear it though.

Default hardcoded

I used the type XI german torp for my Kaiten, seems to work ok even though it goes for the rear of the ships... I was hoping to improve that..

There's no real node or property or controller that allows you to alter that, although I do think it may be possible to trick the game in having the torp hit a ship more forward. But you must not search it with the torpedo, but with the ships themselfs. Either it zooms in on the rear of a ship in general (in which case you probably can't do much about it), or it zooms in on some nodes placed on the back of the ship (engine, props, etc.). Play around with it and see if you can find it

If it locks in on sound nodes, have it aim for the bow wave noise.

doesn't tell me where the part that tells the torpedo where to aim is though..:hmm:

also : could I replace the torp's 3d model with the midget sub? with no CTD I mean ???
