Default Shell impact graphic

Anyone know which file controls the graphic for a shell impact? Currently, when you hit a ship with an AP shell it results in a quick, fiery explosion. If you've ever seen footage of AP rounds striking ships or tanks or walls they don't make a large explosion but rather a small, quick flash as the round impacts the metal. If an explosion occurs it should be because the round struck something flamable inside. The explosion graphic is fine for the HE round but not the AP round. Any ideas?

what your describing sounds like the "flash" you see in game, when a DD fires at you from a distance. its an interesting point you bring up, ive never seen a live round hit the side of a ship...

Me thinks the HE & AP shells use the same explosion sprite. :hmm:
