Default How do you plot courses in this game?!

I just bought silent hunter 5, and installed the wolves of steel supermod.

Ive come from silent hunter 3 where there is a simple "Plot course" tool in the navigation map screen. I cant for the life of me find it here! Is there a hotkey to select it or something?

Just click on the sub icon on the map. I find it to be an easier system than in SHIII myself.

As I just found out last night, in the navigation map, on the top left, click that button. It brings up selector options, make sure te ones that say "when clicking on sub to plot course" or whatever it is are ticked. There you go, click sub, click course

awesome guys, thanks

Another question.

Is it normal for there to be a delay for some orders? Like if i request a depth under keel, il hear the ping sound and the guy will respond with something in german but il get the actual depth under keel a bit later. The same goes with some other orders (cant remember off the top of my head).

Also sometimes if i press "O" for the clock, it takes a bit for it to pop up and it doesnt always work.

Thanks THEBERBSTER

I read through some of your posts but now im worried lol.

I installed the "Wolves of Steel" step by step as described in their topic and I just went through my game folders and I noticed I have a folder called TDW Generic Patcher in there.

Problem is I AM using the steam version.

I did play for a bit and I dont think I noticed any major problems.

My JGSME activated mods list is as follows:

The Wolves of Steel 1.02
The Wolves of Steel 1.02_Patch 5
The wolves of steel realistic hydrophones
German U-Boat crew language pack

There was a step in the Wolves of Steel installation guide that had something to do with the generic patcher though. Did i mess up somewhere?

Quick ammendment to the above post

I went through the Wolves of Steel topic again and I remembered that I SKIPPED the step with the TDW Generic patcher, like it says in the topic.

So im feeling some relief now.

But I am still using TDWs UI mod and the rest of the Wolves of Steel stuff. All these should have no problem working with the steam version?

Hi CD7

TDW's GFP is a stand alone and can be installed from wherever you download it too.

As a Steam user you really aught to check this out as it gives you the opportunity to be able to use the patches.

You can use TDW’Generic File Patcher with STEAM see my Tutorial Post #125
