I am missing hydo sounds on some ships. The Hog Island type A for example is one. The other that I can remember is the SV fishing boat. Some of the other ships like the single stack troop transport (can't remember the name) I always get hydo sound on.

Sometimes I have frozen flags and sometimes not.

This is a known issue and I think Trevally is working on a fix. Until then you can always try OHII base + Environment add-on, which will remove the imported ships that cause this problem.

Thanks for the reply. The trouble is I already have sunk almost 300,000 tons and my crew has become quite proficient. I will keep going for a while in this career. Other then these little glitches I am having a lot more enjoyment with the new campaign. There is no doubt in my mind that Trevally will come up with a solution, he all ways does.

I went from OHII full to OHII_Base and Environment and my saved game loaded with no problems. You can give it a try.

If OH is the last mod in my list with a sdl file then i have no internal engine sound . I just checked this by deleting the sdl file from OH 1.3 . I have internal engine sound without the sdl file from OH 1.3 . Happened with previous versions as well . Didnt TDW make an sdl application ? Where do i find it .

could it be that you use a stereo int. diesel sample ? ...the problem in your case seams that OHII use the the int. diesel SDL entry from SDBSM (OHII use SDBSM`s SDL file as a base, as it was the most complete at first release). this entry have 3D engine sound checked, which require a mono diesel sound sample.

Is this the sound you are missing:
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\motor_Diesel_LOOP


The sound editor is in:
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Applications\SDL Editor

Hi Stormfly !

How can I tell if the file is in stereo or mono is?

Maybe with Windows-Explorer (right Mouse click on file > properties) ?

Might be a stupid question

I just complete my first patrol with OH II 1.2.
I can update to OHII 1.3 or even restart a new career?

Hi Fangschuss

I was going to write info for how to upgrade v1.2 to v1.3 without a career restart being required.
If it was only the change to coastal ships, then this would have worked.
That was before I changed the mines and nets in the campaign.
Now they have changed and therefore the only way to get all the changes in v1.3 - is to restart
