Default Looking for a mod

Hello all! I've got a copy of SH4: WOTP in my room, and I'd like to have another crack at it. But I'm wondering which mods I should use. I'm looking for a mod that improves the AI, but doesn't demand too much on my system (I'm using a laptop). A mod that improves the realism of traffic would be good as well. Thank you Pacific Pioneers!

Run Silent, Run Deep Campaign (RSRD, sometimes RSRDC) makes the traffic realistic. As for the AI, I've only used Trigger Maru Overhauled (TMO) but I have no complaints with it. I also play on a laptop, but it's an Alienware. However, I don't think TMO is much more demanding hardware wise than stock is. I didn't even bother to play stock though; I just started it to make sure it would run and then loaded TMO and RSRD. I've since added OTC (Optical Targeting Correction) to round out my soup.

RSRDC will remove the excess traffic in the game and having a lot less traffic will make it easier on the laptop

I run TMO and RSRDC on my laptop. Load times are good. Traffic is good.

You'll love it.

Thank you all! I'll reinstall SH4, install the mods, and start it up when I've finished my career in SH5

Good! SH4 is pretty great with TMO and RSRDC installed. You'll like it. And in case Fleet Boats aren't your thing, there's Operation Monsun and We Dive At Dawn which change the game to German U-boats or British Boats.
