Default Question Unpacking/Repacking .DAT files

Hello
I have tried in vain to repack a .DAE file once the Dat file exported with the S3D_beta071 ; I just can't figure how

What I am trying to do is to understand how can I convert .DAT file to be readable by
3dsmax and repack it to DAT
Can someone, please indicate

I can't get Pack3D.jar working on my computer


maybe I need another plugins (I have directX10 installed)

To import the model into the game, you have to use another file format, and a newer version of S3D (v0.8).

So first get the newer version here:

Then, follow the guidelines I described in the 2nd post in this thread:

It may look like alot of work, but once you've done it once (and all settings are correct), it's really easy.

Note that you can still use DAE, but only to export from S3D. It can't import it.

I have Silent 3ditor Working , and able to export .Obj
I have 3dsmax 7 working able to import .Obj
Now I can start working I guess
I am working on the Nautilus 3d model ; if anyone is interested , I will be glad to share my job
