Default Thermal layer

Hi,

As in others SH opus, in SH5 we have in data/sounds the Submarine_passing_thermal_layer_INT sound file...but since day one, i've never heard any officer using it

So my questions:
- is the thermal layer existing in SH5 seas?
- if yes, why can't we know when passing through?
- if no, would it be possible to get the thermal layer back?

(sorry if it has been already asked)

Im not sure the thermal layer works, or it has made too deep to reach in the VIIc41 at most.

At the max depth you can safely retreat to is 210 meters, then you start taking damage, they destroyers hydrophones still hear you.

Sure, as some others sound files and even few dds files...
But wouldn't it be nice if it could work as in SH3/4?

Those settings are weird!
They say 1 = no attenuation, so why visual get 0? should get 1!
And how come 3 = 33% reduction while 5 = 20%??
Is it a joke or something?
