Default [REQ] Must maintain forward momentum or sink

not sure if this has been requested yet, is it possible to give the sub a natural positive or negative buoyancy when no forward momentum?

I rely on the British to provide me with this.

NYGM had this feature in SH3, so it's possible. Personally I didn't enjoy it, but I know some others did. heh

go too 120M and then stop, and tell me what happens
you need to keep at least 3 knots in stock...which is a little unrealistic so we lowered it with mods

sweet, is that same behavior modeled near the surface or is it something that could be done?

Well if it handles differently at different depths, then perhaps you can have positive bouyancy at shallow depth and negative when running deep... Always wanted to see this feature, though, after seeing Run Silent, Run Deep.

Actually what I'd like to see is a randomized version. Maybe have a greater chance of the correct behaviour at the correct depths, but also have a random chance of the boat going up, down, or not at all. Reflects imperfect trim.

I tried to replicate it on SH4 and it wasn't working anymore. Something fundamental to the physics of the game changed. There were two ways to go about effecting bouyancy in SH3, and neither worked in SH4. Since SH5 is based on SH4, my assumption is it won't work on SH5 either. At least, not natively by manipulating the games resource files. (IE, anything in the data directory)
