It's not often i'll read fox news.

Quote:
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Crystal Cathedral, the megachurch birthplace of the televangelist show "Hour of Power," filed for bankruptcy Monday in Southern California after struggling to emerge from debt that exceeds $43 million.

In addition to a $36 million mortgage, the Orange County-based church owes $7.5 million to several hundred vendors for services ranging from advertising to the use of live animals in Easter and Christmas services.
A coworker and I think it should be turned into a strip club. Shame it's not on indian land, it would make an awesome casino.

Here's a thought. If this monstrosity was claiming tax exempt status for religous reasons (no reason why they wouldn't), do they still get protection under chapter 11?

Yes sir.. this is best news i've heard awhile! I know, i know, I shouldn't be grinning, should i? lol. Well, i am! I'm such a terrible person!

As an aside, some nifty pictures of this abominations "humble" beginnings:
