Kiel!!

Started new Campaign, sank a few Polish ships in Danzig Bay as instructed then tried to return to port, found that port symbol had moved to Kiel. Set off to Kiel as new home port but getting CTD when close to Kiel. cannot enter estuary or harbour and continue Campaign! Anyone else had this issue and any suggestion??

Hi Swordfish.
Sorry for your troubles - and I'm sure someone useful will be along soon - but until then, you should also post your mod-list and your computers specifications. They will need to know that to help you.

Ctd on the way to Kiel after completing the Baltic Patrol is quite common.

I have done the Baltic many times and only once did I not have a ctd.

As you approach Kiel the resources start to build and it will depend on your mods whether you make it or not.

Post your mods so we will be able to see if that is where the problem lies.

Try loading the save before your last one.

Do a manual save every 15 to 20 minutes.

At some point save the game and then exit to the menu and load that last save.

Keep your TC very low 4 to 8 max

Take a course different to your ctd to mix it up a bit.

If you cannot resolve the ctd issue and have to do it again remove any non essential mods and enable them again once you bunker in Kiel.

I removed OH 11 vers 2.5 from the activated mods as a check and everything seems to be working ok, so it seems that OH is conflicting with something else. I would still like to use OH though in the game if possible.

Hi TheBerbster!

Thanks for info, clarification please. When you say 'can't have 2 interfaces' are you referring to the 2 Magui patches 3.01 & 3.02 in the same list or the fact that OH 11 vers 2.5 replaces these? I have tried running just Magui 3.01 & English menu patch but still get CTD!
