Default First Person

So,if this is going to be a 1st person sim can we assume that no fast positioning icons will be there? Mean that being in the torpedo compartment, you are called up to the bridge,so you will have to move your body all the way back through the submarine? That would be authentically realistic,so as to be able to walk and run in Alarm situations.

I'm sure the guys at UBI will have something cool figured out (Press the key combo Ctrl+Shift+R to run)
and I would think they would include the teleport icons. maybe do a mix of both, where you can "dash" to another station, you can't teleport but you can press a button and automatically run to the desired station...That's my good idea for the day

And it sounds like a good one. Maybe even have your captain shouting "Make way!" when there's a crowd ahead.

I'm looking forward to seeing people getting kicked and dragged through hatches in a crash dive situation

You guys have some mighty big hopes.

Remember all we have seen is a trailer, nothing on the UI that Im aware of.

Or have the old click menu on the side of the screen like SH3 had. Buttons are good too though lol.

i really like that idea of giving you a choice. running through a sub would really add to the immersion experience.

also, if your engineer goes crazy, can you grab a luger and shoot him FPS style? I'd probably just start bunny hopping all around my control room shooting at my hysterical engineer

I hope the crew is worthwhile enough to depend on unlike SH3/SH4 where you had to run around doing everyone's job like it was a one-man-band. "Bearing one-two-zero. Range?" "4-6-oh-oh" "Mark." Buncha lazy lumps.

I think that this will depend on the level of difficulty, so if you will play 100% difficulty you can only run in first person when you will play in another difficulty you can run in first person and teleport

I am assuming that an updated version of the current style of UI and movement system will be included as well if this review is correct:

I don't think the first person will ever be required. Maybe they will add a "lock" on the first person mode as a difficulty option, much like No External Views in the current games.
