Very nice and refreshing,i love the new sub.
But i have a problem with the type AM,the texture of the hull warp constantly(like there were other texture),all the other sub are fine.
Many thanks for your nice mod :up:
A small edit:when the sub is underwater the problem go away...to return when i re-surface :(

Is the 'warp' on the tower part or the actual hull. I know the problem with the tower, like Keltos said it is from making the Sen Toku tower smaller and he has not made a new texture yet. I have seen a problem there, but I have not seen a problem on the hull itself. Is it the whole hull or just parts? What exactly do you mean by 'warp' just to make sure we are talking about the same thing? The more info, the easier to find and fix.

I know some texture on the tower deck was warped, happened with the shrinking I think, so I made a new deck between the second floor stern and bow AA emplacements.

Mmmm,its a bit hard to explain because i don't speak english well.
The problem appear ONLY on the hull,the tower is stable,apart for a pair of floating black disc(to me they look where it should be the compass on the fleet boat,Gato and others).It looks like the texture rotate or flip around the hull,sometime i see some black angled line.when the sub goes underwater the problem go away,but i noticed that the rudder and rear dive planes have the same problem when surfaced and when submerged.This happen only on the type AM sub.
Another small bug but this time on the Junsen.There is a hole in the hull 3d model near the left screw.
The rest is good.Thanks for your mod.

Appreciate the info. I know Keltos will be glad for the extra info. We know about the disks, they will be taken care of. But I have not had a problem with the texture, have to see what is causing it.

TOO BIG the Sen Toku... :doh:
Ask Peabody, he did it for the US side, try it out then decide. They weren't used operationnally as opposed to the I-13 class anyways.

And Yes, please do the skins ! the one for the tower(s) you have to extract using S3D from the .dat, the others are already there (.dds) I'll post the templates to the Jyunsen B tower and Type AM tower later today, dds 2048 x 2048.

I had to flip faces on both the hull and the tower, and quite a few.. move the tower to a better position thus having to move the AA guns and crew etc.. along with the periscopes, radio antenna and such.
now it is done. :D

I need to implement the captured 5inch gun for both subs (not have to "buy" it) and the tarmatte for the type AM.

Btw I'm trying to add the different Type 22 radars (both drum and stick) to the Senzori.dat, same as a real jap snorkel. all those in the version 3.0 of the mod, along with your skins ? we have a little time now ;)

Are those the colors they used? Wouldn't it be better with blues and grays rather than green and orange? Just seems to me the green and orange would stick out on the ocean. It just looks more like an 'in the woods' type camo.

yes, i am sure it could be raised, tin that position, it wouldnt do much good...
snorkels are designed to keep the boat safe in the depths, while allowing the desiels to recharge the batteries and keep the crew breathing...
therefore, i would say a 4m rise should be good...a good test start

There is a separate thread for the Campaign that has some pics. We get closer every day. Just takes time to change all these files especially graphics and submarines. We do run into things we don't understand and it takes a day or so to figure out. And sometimes we (me mostly) make a stupid mistake and spend all day trying to figure out why it doesn't work the way it is suppose to.
We did a few things I think you will like and tried some others that just didn't work. It coming slower than expected, but this is the first time we have tried anything like this.
Soon I hope, but we don't want to release it full of mistakes either.
But I have to hurry up and get the Campaign finished, Keltos keeps making more subs to put into it.:rotfl:

I tested it over OM 3.01 and tried the Jyunsen B only.
Know that the Jyunsen B thus visible in OM is historically accurate :yep: whereas the snorkel and radar are less.
I hope this will allow you to enjoy my boats too, players of OM, as they come as four more boats and do not remove any of OM.

IRT to the above mod
I did a code review of the changes made by this mod to OM and noted the following:
The base line of this mod is two versions behind OM ( v301 vs 500 )
The “v 3.0 Jyunsen B mod” overwrites the Flotillas.upc and CareerStart.upc which “destroys” the OM Campaign and makes the rest of OM v301 useless.
Overwrites CrewMembers.upc files that cause Uboats to no longer have “crewmember”, i.e. “all” crew slots are now “empty”
Overwrites the Type II interior files with ones that are “Out of Date”OM Users beware.

Took the I-25 for a spin last night (w/out OM installed), patrolled between Austraila and New Guinea w/no success but did have fun getting chased by destroyers and a/c. Much tougher than playing as an American. :)
Tho I do wonder...is there much Allied traffic? I couldn't find a dang thing from Darwin to Brisbane cept the destroyers guarding entrances to ports. :(

I will add my ships to the flotillas and careerstart .upc so as to be able to use them in the full OM campaign. Remember that a few IJN subs made it to France, and that german propaganda claimed they were operating in the Atlantic along with the U-Boots.
I can remove the crewmember.upc
I can remove the type II interrior files, as my Kaichu uses them, if yours have the same names it'll be ok.
I will submit it to you before posting if that's ok ? I only tried to do a patch because some people wanted to use my ships with OM and I had a little time to work on it.
btw the straffic is stock 1.5 here, I reused the 1.5 missions just added my ships to them, wait till Peabody finishes the Japanese campaign "Climb Mount Niitaka".

I understand, if I can make my subs work with OM so much the better but as we have stated they are designed to work with Peabody's japanese campaign first and foremost, any other compatibility would be a bonus for all players, if and when I get this patch ready and approved by you, you can then release it on the OM thread if you think it worthwhile. I for one would like to try OM on a Jyunsen B, as the IJN Kriegsmarine cooperated in the indian ocean.
I"ll pm you when it is ready with the download details.

I got it to replace the stock type 95 model for now, need to get it to replace the Kaiten torpedo that I have in my mod but don't know where it gets its 3d model from :damn:

I got it to replace the stock type 95 model for now, need to get it to replace the Kaiten torpedo that I have in my mod but don't know where it gets its 3d model from :damn:

Clone it. Just like a gun,sub,ship etc. Create a new one, or at least try.
The only reason I point to that as a possibility is the Kaiten in the UPCLocalization.tsr is listed at a T5Torpedo, going to the Ammunition.upc, the link appears to come from a Subtype=T_V and that looks like the right numbers for the existing Kaiten. I am not sure how the link gets from Ammunition to Torpedos.dat but I am sure someone will know.
Also it looks like an acoutic element (acoutic 92) was put in to simulate the Kaiten being 'steered' toward it's target. So that is why I suggested that may be the node of the existing Kaiten. Why else would it have an acoutic element if it's not an acoustic torpedo?

right.. but where are the rivets and stuff ??? odesn't look like metal anymore I'm affraid..
I don't means to be overly critical but shouldn't the paint be applied on top of the metal with all the seams and rivets showing ?

Its just the basis mate. Nothing more than getting my colors right. I haven't done any advanced work yet such as rivets and true weathering. Just wanted your input on the colors.

The thing is , and don't get upset about it, we have made the mod what it is right now, it took a lot of very hard work and long hours, and it's not over yet...
I understand you're eager to help, and that's a good thing, so my advice would be to propose one thing at a time.
Your patch idea for OM was a good one. I made a patch for it too before and kindo got scalded by Lurker cause we modify the same files, for his mod and for ours, it has to do with the campaign.
So I decided not to pursue it.
Then you came along and offfered to make a patch so that the Jyunsen B would be completely compatible with OM, I aggreed to that, it's fine by me, this mod is made to be played.
You offer your know-how on the skinjob, fine again, but I think you should contact (by pm) Sledgehammer427 about it too. He offered to make us a skin a while back and we as a team aggreed. The deck plancking is part of his WIP skin.
I don't mind you doing another set of skins, but talk to Sledgehammer427 about it. Maybe you guys can work as a team on this, or maybe not.
It is true I like the first screens of your WIP Skinjob. But I agreed to have Sledgehammer427 do the mod skin for us when he has time to do so with all his projects !
So don't take me wrong, I like what I see, but start with what you offered : the OM patch, get Lurker's approval when it's done, then you'll be able to release it and get the credits.
If you think you have the time to do both, work on the skin as well, I don't mind having a few sets out there for people to choose from, look at all the german boats' skins like foofighter's etc.. I myself changed skins a few times when playing SHIII. I have to respect Sledgehammer's work and the fact that he asked us a while ago too.
From what I saw of his work, it goes right where we want to go : as realistic a skin as possible for the Jyunsen B for starters. I don't think it should be too shiny either, I saw the barnacles on the hull and the rust on the I-400, and it only served a few months, so the skin shouldn't reflect a brand new shiny ship.
Take a look at the pictures posted from RL on the web too.
So to summarize my thoughts, don't try and offer to change everything we've done so far, start small, I'm sure we can use your capacities to improve on the mod.
This way you won't hurt anyone's feelings either.
So now, if you wanna help, contact the teammembers by pm too. Peabody, Takao, Captainscurvy, Sledgehammer427 and Skwasjer all contributed to this mod.

If you had read the first post : my mod doesn't take away the german boats at all. It adds the Jyunsen B, the Type AM, the Kaidai 4 and the Kaichu submarine to the list.
So when you play from Penang you can choose to be a german or a japanese, like in Real Life from 1943 onwards.

This isn't my area of knowledge, but I seem to recall that the Japanese experimented with blacks and greys, and maybe other colours, to try to find the colour that gave the best camouflage on the surface and underwater viewed from the air, and that what worked best in one capacity wasn't so good in the other. I think this may have resulted in different colours on the upper hull and conning tower for horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

Hmmmm....I'll check it but I thought it did...maybe I got the Japanese career mod instead...but I do know whenever I install the Pseudo Narwhal mod over the tench mod It only allows me to use the later one...
I'll take a look at it.

In keeping with the Kaiten size subs I think I'll revive an old WIP : the Playable Ko Hyoteki.
I had made a version a while back but stopped after making it stand-alone, I figured it was a lot of work for a sub firing only two torpedoes, but it might be fun to try and do the Pearl Harbor and Sidney attacks as single missions ?

the problem is the base they start from, I don't know if we can make a base appear and disappear like a sub would, so that the sub could return to base... not that any of them really managed that in RL....

I got it at first from the Sen Toku for some antenna parts, then Peabody made a new Senzori.dat for the IJN with the antennae and the snorkels, so they now are stand alone.
There are two antennae in the senzori : one single on a mast as the first ship's type 22 had one receiving horn and a normal emitter antenna (like a modern tv one), this for the Type AM sub and a double drum type 22 antenna for the Jyunsen B and the Kaidai subs.
I don't have a problem with you using it but do ask Peabody too as we function as a team !
I'm currently trying to make afew sounds (:rotfl:) for the jap subs editing the 1942 movie " Gochin !" (means : sunk instantly ! ) which was done during I-10 's fourth war patrol.
But i didn't know the size of the task ahead of me before I started ! so it will be a few sounds till we can get someone to actually record the game's orders in japanese.

I don't have a problem with you using it. It is in Library/GerSubParts/Sezori_Uboat2.dat and .sim. (which you don't have unless you downloaded the Jyunsen B MOD.) I made it a separate .dat so we don't accidently mess up the Senzori_uboat.dat as we add stuff for Kelto's subs. So, the dat and sim are totally separate and the stuff in there is only used by the Japanese subs so it won't overwrite any other files so it is safe to use with anything. In fact it could be left in the folder, but if you release any ships that use it of course you would have to include it with the MOD.
And it can be assigned with sns but a different entry in the ship's upc or UPCUnitParts sections can change it to something else. So if you download the Jyunsen B you will see the entries in the UPCDataGe/UPCUnitparts both in the upgradepacks.upc and the equipment.upc in case you need to use them to install it. But I'm sure you probably knew all that.
The minisub adds a .cam file to this for the short scope we needed for the 'short' sub, but you obviously don't need that for the radar.

I've been busy with the sounds mod, made a new decent music file that plays during the menus, but the other sounds I made : .ogg and .wav for the speech and the submarine sounds make the game CTD :damn: when the music file alone is fine ?
are there different types of .wav or .ogg like there are of .jpg ??????
can anyone help ?

Just thinking out loud here.
When you examined the Stock SH4 objects that already have Bump maps applied to them, did you only look at the larger objects? What about the additional objects, radar improvements, gun emplacements etc that get added at specific dates? These objects are not part of the main ship model, they should be handled by a Dat/Cfg file and should have Bump maps applied to them. Perhaps they hold a clue.;)

Keltos, try the Roster\ folder. There are currently no CFG files for the conning towers (Objects\ folder), but you probably can add them, although it may not be the right place (since it's roster related, I wouldn't know what to do with class/type)
Again, no experience whatsoever with cfg/upc files. I only give ideas...
Maybe you can also simply create a cfg in the Objects folder for the specific tower. My advice is, look at other objects in the game (like danlisa said) and see how they are set up.

to me it looks as though the develloppers never intended to use bump maps above water or did they ?

If I build another japanese sub it'll be one with 8 forward tubes like the I-47, then we'll need to see about those extra tubes, since the german's maximum is 6.
The T class with 10 tubes works perfectly, it's the one with 11 tubes that has problems with its UZO causing CTDS because of that extra tube, so maybe we can't add extra tubes, more than originally planned by the Devs that is.
This is why I chose to build the Type J1M, since it has only 4 forward tubes and two aft like a type IX. The C2 I liked as well but it has 8 fore tubes, so the T problem will be solved when I get 8 tubes on a C2.
The icing on the cake is that this sub, I-5, had the rear plane launching catapult removed in 1940 only to install a second deckgun !
The J2 (I-6) is identical but has a catapult aft and only one deck gun and is slightly faster on the surface (20/18 knots) and slower below (7.5/8 knots).

The good thing for me about the IJN is their imagination and the fact that they had plenty of submarine types, even if that wasn't very efficient in RL !

The I-5 was an experimental one-off development of the J1s (J1M class) that originally included a catapult and two watertight deck tubes located aft of the conning tower, tubes containing the fuselage and wings of a seaplane. The aircraft had to be assembled from the tubes while the submarine was surfaced, leaving it highly vulnerable. However, the Japanese believed the concept had great promise.

I'm a fan of the Japanese submarines, I think they are some of the nicest looking of all the WWII submarines, and thus I have a question for those making this mod. What references are you all using to make these boats? I have found it difficult to find quality images of Japanese Submarines (not that I need them for a mod or anything,) Can you folks recommend any good books or computer links for me?

The 3d model has been improved since I found some good data in "the Maru Special - Japanese naval vessels 31", I was able to remodel the hull of the sub giving her her fore gun platform and a new railing.
The tower has been reworked according to photographs as well : unlike the Kaidai 4 and Jyunsen B, the J1M had no doors on top of the ladder leading to the tub, the handrails have been changed as well, and a rangefinder is there too now, at the back of the tub.
I have included the version 3.4 of the IJN torpedo mod with the new Kaiten model for the Layout.
I also have made a new picture for the torpedo loadout, taken from a RL picture of the I-5 sailing away with the crew standing on deck in whites.
Enjoy this mod, it is stand alone for the moment but will be included in the Jyunsen B, Type AM, Kaidai 4 and Kaichu mod when the Japanese campaign is released.

I noticed a thing in the game's yourbeautifulsub_001.dds which I didn't do on mine : there is an alpha channel under the 3 channels of the occlusion map image, but it has not the occlusion map itself but a copy in B/W and positive of the yourbeautifulsub_T01.dds file with a higher ratio of contrast/brightness !
This is why my models were always so shiny : they were lacking that level of details in the alpha channel !
I found it editing the UbootIXD2_001 file...

I modified the picture used in the loadout screen : it was right to left, I flipped it to left to right as it represents better the compartments under it this way.
I removed the extra torpedoes left over from the type IXD2, so now you have an accurate 6 torpedoes total in the stern room and 14 in the bow room, as did the real Jyunsen 1M.
Both deck guns now face forward as per the RL picture.
The boat now has a RL IJN submarine rudder.
All values in the Jyunsen_1M.sim now reflect RL values including maximum depth of 260 feet.
This mod also includes the new occlusion map.
The boat is available in all careers, all start times (have to check that one though ;) )

it worked !
I only had to give a new id to the torpedo doors, move the nodes into place (address wise ex: node 168) and it worked !
I only hope that Peabody can make his small dials (the one I used for the Class T with 10 tubes) work with the add on.
so for now it's the Jyunsen 1M with 6 forward tubes and two aft, later it should get the 3d model of a Kaidai 3 or a C1, who knows !

I found a guy who sold actual IJN submarine gauges on ebay last week (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=150320868935), so I downloaded the pictures he posted and used those (belived to be from a Karyu midget sub) to replace the gauges after I had the labels translated by Yattky before I used them.

keltos, I did some more research on how we can force the game which bump map to use for a model. As you know by now you can specify the bump map for hulls using configuration file. But there was no way to do this for the tower.
I found in data\library\characters\marine.dat some clues. The 'so-called' illumination chunk (I called it this way 1.5 years ago for lack of better understanding) you will find in this file many times (on materials), is used to define bump maps on the characters. I will rename this illumination chunk in a future S3D release so it indicates additional texture map (because it can be used for AO-map, specular map, and now bump map).
I have not tested if you can use it in other files, a scan of all game files indicates that this chunk is only used in marine.dat, but that doesn't mean it won't work. Go check that file out, borrow some chunks and see if you can get it to work on your tower.

I assume you are talking about the AA and we are aware of it, in a mix up while doing other stuff, Keltos and I ended up with different versions of the gun (my fault) and the sight wasn't on it. Since the gun came from a ship, the 'sight' was just a hexagon shaped piece of metal, not intended to be playable. Keltos fixed that and put on a sight but then the mixup, so it will be fixed. There is a sight on the double barrel model.
Thanks for the info, this one we know about, but appreciate it when you bring these thing up so we can fix them.

I think that last scope shot there is faked.
if you look at periscope shots in general, you will see that the whole scope view isnt visible, just a little tiny bit because the camera was pressed up to the lens.
also, it's too... generic. it looks like a sniper rifles crosshair.
if it WAS a periscope, it would definately be an attack periscope.
more so than the simple crosshaired one from the I-400. it's hard to collect data from a single crosshair with no ticks to either side

It looks like it hsa some mean light guns and AA..one thing I'd look foreward to driving one of these would be encountering fishingboats to shoot up with that quad gun.

We should have the Sen Toku in the coming IJN Campaign "Climb Mount Niitaka" that Peabody and I are doing.
The Boat you refer to is the I-14 a Type AM submarine which had a tower with a 2 plane hangar similar to the Sen Toku's.
As discussed a bunch of times the triple AA from stock are too slow and clumsy for them to be used : you get sunk before they fire at the planes.. and the Vierling was a german gun.
We have a single 13.2 mm AA gun, a single and a double 25 mm AA gun. That should suffice. We also have 2 types of IJN deckguns.

what do you mean by sluggish? Rate of fire or the spin rate of the turret? And is that a problem with the AI or when you the player are manning the gun? Heck, I can bring a deck gun of an american sub to bear on an H8k. Came close to hitting one...besides, from what I hear, most players don't mess with planes. The guns on the stock I-14 would still be fun to have, after all, I can sink a small old engine aft with my 40mm AA gun on the american sub, so just unsing it to blast up small merchants would be cool. Maybe not consider it a priority but please do consider the stock configuration. Hoenstly, I wish I could help yea, as I've been poking around with some files and I think I can figure out some things but I'm not quite there yet. (Being able to change available guns on a sub for instance..I think I can do that)

There is an AI Sen Toku available here somewhere for download. To make an AI sub actually go anywhere it needs to be a ship, not a sub. My suggestion to you would be to do a search for Mikhayls tutorial on cloning a sub. Download Silent 3ditor if you don't have it and do Mikhayls tutorial. It will give you some good info about how the different files link together while you are doing it. Then you will have a sub you can mess aroung with and not affect the subs in the game.
By slow he is talking the turn rate which needs to be increased dramatically otherwise you are bombed before the guns are pointed in the right direction.

Ok, misunderstood.
The turret should turn at the same rate whether AI or manned since it is set in the .sim file to turn at a certain rate. Also the Sen Toku and the AM are similar but the Sen Toku that you see in the stock game is bigger. But one note the Sen Toku in the stock game uses Triples not quads and it is only a 25mm so it doesn't do much damage even if you set it so it will fire at ships.

The gauges are suppose to change depending on your setting. Metric, Imperial or Authentic. Maybe it's set to Authentic, after all it is the "Imperial" Japanse Navy.:know:

I made a new rudder for both the type AM and the Jyunsen B so that the top rudder moves like on the Kaidai 3b and the Jyunsen 1M.

BTW, when you are lookig for japanese stuff, try loading up google language page, then type the search into the text field and convert to japanese, THEN copy that, and do your search using japanese. You find things you'd never see otherwise.

Actually I take photographs of the pages, pressing the book against a scanner's window damages them, I have too much respect for books to do that !

Some interesting details here....
First of all I see that in the compass rose of japanese vessels the same funny internal wheel partition in 1-10 is used as in the classic german Anschutz compass, a division I also have seen recently in a soviet submarine's compass. This can be well seen in the "Interior of I-58 picture", on the compass in the wall up behind the officer at the scope. I can't explain yet in detail why they divided it like that instead of doing it in 0-360º, though I suspect why.
In any case, I did recently a mod for SH3 slide out compass that also features that curious internal compass partition, so feel free to use the graphics for your mod if you are interested: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=148239

#2 (mid left) This is in I47, and is possibly the radar room as the room is very narrow and has a tight curvature but could possibly be the radio room because this room is next to the command room. A Type 22 conical radar was mounted in the bow of the ship in accordance with the standard theory of radar use at the time. This radar has a diameterof (X) centimeters and could detect large ships at 35,000 meters and small ships at 17,000 metes.
#3 (bottom left) Crew operating air vent controls inside I47. The two pipes at the top of the picture carry the air. The ship has possibly been damaged and the vents are being closed to prevent flooding. You can see the handles on the wheels to allow them to be turned quickly.

I69's command room, showing Captain Watanabe at the periscope. As the photographer is on the ship the periscope is probably the primary daytime periscope.
Twisting the handles raises or lowers the periscope. Captain Watanabe was in command until Showa 18, April and was in charge o the Hawaii to Solomons mission. He became the captain of I40. He went down with his ship in the middle of the Pacific in November, Showa 18.
I69 Front torpedo room. This sub has Number 88 Type 3 tubes. On the right side you can see the air pipe for firing the torpedos. Above the tubes the crew use the display to read the required settings for each torpedo. Kaidai Type 6A had four forward tubes and two stern tubes. The Number 88 tubes were very heavy and bubbleless, and when shooting torpedos with sea water there were many problems (something about the pistons?) A new type, Number 95, was developed.
I69's secondary engine room, in the stern of the ship. It always works with the main engine. It has a maximum potential of 8 hours of operation. In the rear of the picture you can see the air compressor, which is needed to clear the ballast tanks. The compressed air is stored under the floor. The ship has two compressors in case there are problems with one.
LAST ONE
This is the control room of I69, as seen from the secondaryengine room. Under the floor of this room is the electrical room with two electric machines (generators?) with 900 horse power. Controls for the electrical systems are on both panels. The ship's speed is controlled from this room. The ship is moving to attack so the two white uniformed crewmen at the control panels are listening to and carrying out orders.

First of all let me say thanks for all this stuff. Finally another point of view on this war! lso i love the design of these submarines. Thanks to the links yuou posted here i've seen so many pics. Beautiful....
Then i must ask if the package is ready for use with JSGME. Because i tried it last night and nothing happened. I suppose it's my fault, but i had to extract the package in the MOD folder and then activate it right ??

It was infact my fault... Btw great work again. I'm really impressed. Btw do you think there will be the possibility to use this mod and his upcoming campaign with a Realism supermod like RFB or others ??

It doesn't raise, it either is permanently fixed to the pedestal or placed there by the crew once surfaced. You could however link it to the UZO camera, because it works based on a similar principle (Though you don't need to input mast height or such, and the split images are horizontally displayed). But the UZO is the closest thing you'll get in SH4 to how a stereoscopic rangefinder works.

Only on the late war Sen Taka class electric boats. Their streamlined hulls made for very good underwater performance too. They were intensively studied by the US after the war.

I noticed too, in the recent addition to my sub library (thanks to Rubenandthejets) that the Kaiten model I made was actually a type II and not a type I kaiten.
This will be fixed when I get the time, untill then both Kaiten will share the same 3D model.
If you ever find detailed blueprints such as these of the 5.5 inch deck gun, I'm more than interrested since I made my model from photographs only.

I have moved the stern torpedo room to the front and upper side of the sub, as those that had 8 torpedo tubes had two separate and above one another torpedo rooms.

no, it's the kaidai 3b textures, and since the sub is bigger (109 m) but mostly longer they don't show right, and I need to fix the hull/tower junction too, but I like it, a good start, but as always my first version ctd.. too many changes at once I did..
so I used the stand alone KD3b and replaced the model, now I have to rechange the rudder, add the kaiten, move the aft tubes to the front, change the boxes etc...
I haven't heard from Peabody in a few day, I'm getting worried... :(

I had ctds with the first version as always... it seems modding is like making crepes : I always undercook the first one..
anyways, here it is in s3d, with the Kaiten on deck and their own textures. And of course, the Hover Gun ;)
I still need to move the tubes etc..

ok now I can try and set 4 tubes per torpedo room, set the stern torpedo room to take torps from the bow bunker and set them up on the bow one on top of the other like in RL and like in the Sen Toku (which has since been added to the Jyunsen B.. v3.9.2 mod 8) )
