Default Permission to Come Aboard?

Greetings,

I have been an occasional lurker on the SubSim forums throughout the years; usually when I'm looking up an old game and stumble across threads here related to it. I came of the age playing SSN-21 Seawolf, 688 Attack, Fast Attack, and Harpoon 2/3. A few years ago I discovered Dangerous Waters on Steam, though life got in the way and I didn't really get to dive into it. I never got into any of the WW2 period sims, for better or worse, my interest was always in the nuclear sub sims and "big picture" (e.g., Harpoon) type simulators.

It's a toss up as to which one was my favorite, Seawolf was my first so it has a lot of nostalgic value even if it's not terribly realistic. It's easy to lose yourself in the soundtrack and the point-and-shoot interface has merits if you're just looking for a quick distraction. Fast Attack was probably my favorite for realism and of course the Harpoon series for playing Fleet Commander.

Anyhow, I find myself at home for the next few weeks convalescing from surgery, so I thought to dig Fast Attack out of the closet and see if I could make it work in DOSBox. Ran into a few problems with it, which I will post in the appropriate forum with the hopes that the gurus here have encountered and solved them.

Aside from that, this looks like an interesting community; as time allows I would like to take part in it, if you will have me.

Tim
