Default Petition Ubisoft to exempt SHV from DRM?

Should we start a petition to ask Ubisoft to exempt Silent Hunter V and any future Silent Hunter releases from this online DRM scheme?

I'm not as against it as some other people are (my computer won't be able to run SHV anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point), but I fear that if the DRM hurts sales significantly, it'll be the end of the Silent Hunter series, and sub sims for a long time to come.

I'm not fear about the end of it. The end will come anyway. But if we ever have a full featured top notch WW2 theme modded u-boat simulator it's the end of story. Everyone's happy and that's it..

Just like the petition for the SH3 Developer kit?

Consider this

Drop full time online requirement from all games!

Judging from all other similar experiments, they have all failed

I guess no one here is against clever copy-protection.
but an "OSP" with the need of staying online permanently is the worst UBI can do.

petition signed!

1 time online activation and no futher internet connection required.
I can live with not reselling the game.
But 24/7 connected to the web required to play an offline game is simply rediculous

So ....... Signed!

There are many advantages to the constant connection. Learn what they are then you can talk about it.

Believe me I know what they are 'cos I'm am 24/7 connected but a lot of people aren't or have a bad connection.
It's pretty ignorant to rule those people out for playing a offline game isn't it?
So go back to your cave and don't tell me to learn what I'm talking about.

SIGNED.
We don't want any 'always online DRM' in single player, offline games, UBI!

And please guys, don't start replying Trenken here, just check the other threads, he will never understand our reasoning.
