(REL) Gato Class Camouflage

I now present to one and all "Gato Camo v1.0". I've spent about 12 hours working on this and I hope you all will enjoy it.

There are two versions of the skin, there's a Generic Version and there's a SS228 USS Drum Version.
The links for download are at the bottom of the post.

UPDATE: M. Sarsfield requested the skin with a Grey Conning Tower. So, I've added two Modules that will add a Grey Skinned Conning Tower.
Make sure you download the appropriate modules for what skin you are going to be using. Again, the links are at the bottom of the post.

Installaltion Instructions:

Ready to Install with JSGME or Manualy Install by Extracting the file Data to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of the Pacific


(Note!: If you are MANUALY INSTALLING please BACKUP the files that will be COPIED OVER!!!)

Module Installaltion Instructions:

To install extract NSS_GatoTower_T01.dds & NSS_GatoTower_T02.dds to (Gato Camo (Generic)\Data\Textures\TNormal\tex)

If you want to set it up so the Early War & Mid War Conning Towers remain Black and the
Late War & Elite Conning Towers become Grey ONLY EXTRACT NSS_GatoTower_T02.dds.

If you want to set it up so the Early War & Mid War Conning Towers become Grey and the
Late War & Elite Conning Towers remain Black ONLY EXTRACT NSS_GatoTower_T01.dds.

I do like that camo pattern. Is it all hand done? If it was, then I hope you have a graphics tablet, as that would have driven me nuts doing all that with a mouse.

Very nice!

I used the Sponge filter in PhotoShop to do the Camo. The biggest problem was taking the original skin and putting it back into layers.

Should the bridge structure be a lighter gray? Right now it make s a pretty nice silhouette.

For late war period, yes, hull light grey with dark grey stern with optional mid grey divider, sail light grey.

I just noticed Rebel, you need to get Anti Aliasing turned on!

I see what you mean. I like the black tower, but I can create an optional module with grey conning towers for the people who want to use them.

What do you mean turn Anti-Aliasing on? I don't see the option for it in the options menu in SH4.

Thanks LukeFF! Good news everyone, M. Sarsfield requested a grey Conning Tower for my skin. So, I've uploaded two seperate modules one for the Generic Version and one for the USS Drum version. Please enjoy!

Nice work! I wanted to download your GATO Camo but all the download sites for filefront.com are no longer posted. I also tried to use megafileupload.com but to no avail. I registered (for free) two days ago and still have not had my account validated. Obviously, they want me to use the 'fee service'. I will not if your downloads are no longer posted on this site either. Please help.
