This has to be the collection capable (even if just a chunk of it) of getting me into SH again after some time.

Been appreciating the good community production and care for the series with SH4. Let's see if SH5 keeps it up.

So I just went thru and installed the mod as per the instructions on the first post minus the gamepatcher tweaks (I'm a steam heathen) and I am unable to start a game, I can reach main menu but I cannot start either the campaign nor a historical mission I get a no message CTD. My computer is more than capable of handling SH5 so I'm certain thats not the issue. Any help is greatly apprectiated

Steam version is not suported, you need THE gamepatcher tweaks for mods to work.

Sorry.

No..

Mods don't need Generic Patcher to work.. any mods should work with or without any patches enabled.. the game itself won't work properly without Generic Patcher..

Now i'm reading again first page of this thread and i must ask something which is on my mind for a long time. Why is my navigator capable of taking celestial fix in any weather condition(fog, overcast)? Have i done something wrong or is it just the way it is? Sober says that something like that should n't be possible...

ATM that's the way it is . TDW might be able to do something about it when he learns about the EnvSim act or whatever file its in .

Anyone come across an inability to stop engines while running these mods? I frequently stop both engines, submerged or on surface and continue running indefinitely at 1.8 knots.

I am using patcher version 1.0.47 and New UIs 7.5, test version 10. I have no problem stopping all engines when using the independent engine control. Be it both engines, left or right, surfaced or submerged.

I'm using the same New UIs and patcher 1.0.128. Disabling the engine controls worked. I then tracked a ship using, for the first time, the four bearings method, was intercepting for a 90 degree attack and clicked on the ship type in the scope, to identify the tanker. Instant CTD. This game is still a pig after so much unpaid work.
