A couple of questions here:
First, I'm pretty sure this may have been discussed, but ever since installing CC's CBS News Mod (a fantastic mod), I have lost my Radio Washington. The files are all still there, but when I tune in the radio, it only stops on CBS. Any way to reactivate this station? The CBS mod was installed via JSGME with no probs. Secondly, dose anyone know where I could D/L that Radio Station Manager utility? The link that was provided in the thread (I had to use the forum search tool to dig it up) only brings me to the FileFront home page, not to the download itself. Thanks alot! |

Filefront, in their infinite wisdom, decided to delete that file because it was SO BIG (579KB LOL). I noticed it and reuploaded it and didn't even think about changing the link.
Here's the new link (I'll go change it in the original post also) http://files.filefront.com/RSM10rar/.../fileinfo.html Just a hint, too, when you need to find the link to a mod that works with v1.3, there is a sticky at the top of the page for a list of all the mods. Excalibur Bane ![]() |

De-activate CCs' Mod ( make sure you are in port ), and copy the stock radio settings see below, into before the CBS Mod, make sure they go first besause they are a lower frequency and should go at the beginning ![]() [GENERAL] RadioRealism=Yes StartCh=1 [CHANNEL] Name=Washington Folder=Washington Freq=22 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 Copy what is bold ^^^^, then open up the radio.cfg file in CCs' Mod and copy them in, remember the Washington Station goes before CBS. Save, go back into JSGME and re-activate CCs' Mod and you are good to go. As a precaution, be sure to back-up your stock radio.cfg file, just in case. Maybe send Digital Trucker a PM regarding the link, or try it again to see what happens. Edit: Good point DT regarding 1.3 compatible mods. RDP |

Good call RDP!
Fish40 ensure your stations are 10-12 channel Freqs. apart to avoid step over / or if channels are close, ensure lat/long, range and year provide some breathing room. If you send me a link to your radio.cfg i'd be happy to take a look. Cheers ![]()

Was away for a couple of days. Just got back, and pretty busy. Haven't had a chance to screw around with it yet.

OK, here's the deal. First off, I'm still in the midst of a patrol, so any changes are gonna have to wait till I'm back at base. Second, I looked in the "radio ini. config" , and discovered that the only mod in there is the CBS mod. The way I understand it, is I need to copy the Radio Washington info in here as well, but it needs to be first because it is a lower frequency then CBS. Am I on the right track so far?
It was suggested to disable the CBS mod first, then add the Radio Wash. info into the config., then reactivate CBS. If the CBS mod overwrote the Radio Wash, which from the looks of it , that's what happened, then would'nt reactivating the mod overwrite Wash. again? Another thought. Could'nt I just change the frequency of Radio Washington to a frequency higher then CBS? This way, I should be able to add it to the config. as is, without deactivating the CBS. Sorry if I sound like a moron guys, but this is a bit confuseing to me. At least let me know if I'm in the ballpark on this one. Thanks again. |

If you install the radio station manager and follow the instructions to import a station (Washington), then all you have to do is enter the info for the station (frequency, whatever you want it to be) and the program will make the changes to your .ini file for you. It really makes life dealing with radio stations much easier. It will also identify any CTD causing problems in the events.ini files and will take care of the scripted events being repeated when you load a mid-patrol saved game (as long as you use the "prepare" button before you reload your saved game).
Beyond that, yes you could add Washington manually and give it a higher frequency than CBS and not have to deactivate your radio stations. Just as a side note, it's probably best not to use JSGME to make radio station additions anyway, because it makes a backup copy of each new files that it adds, thereby doubling the amount of space taken up by the music. Also, radio station changes are allowed in mid-patrol. There is no restriction (that I am aware of) on making those changes while on patrol. |

This is why I didn't include a radio.ini file in my radio mods. It would overwrite any stations you had already.

OK, here'a alittle progress report. I entered the info which was provided by reallydedpoet in one of the previous posts in this thread. The only difference was that I changed the freq. to 40. Also, in the config , there were a couple of lines: VolumeOnNews, with some numerical values, which were under the CBS info. I added the same for the Radio Wash.
My current patrol area is off the coast of Honshu. Just for the heck of it, while on the surface I gave the radio a try. The first station to tune in was CBS, freq.30. I then tuned up the dial. The dial stopped at freq.40, which is now Radio Wash. Great, except for one problem. All I hear is that "telemetry" sound between radio stations. A thought occured to me. Could I be out of range of this station? CBS comes in loud and clear though. Any ideas on this one? Thanks for all the help so far. |
