| Currently at 654The E-MAIL BLITZ has begun! The call is out to FIX MY 688(I)Petitioners to fire a full salvo at the developers of Jane's 688(I). Do your part: SUBSIM Review and the FIX MY 688(I) CAMPAIGN was recently featured in the New London Day newspaper, article by Bob Hamilton. Your voice is being heard. 11/12/98 -- The V1.05 Patch is in. This patch does not answer all our gripes but does fix the graphics card problems and players with this patch will be able to multiplayer against other people with the patch. Players without the patch will not appear in the connection screen. No more "Yes, I have the Patch" but-they-really-don't cheaters. A good start. See the Patches & Missions section of this website. As of D-Day (9/13/98), the campaign petition is on its way to Jane's, EA, and Sonalysts. Now let's see how they respond to your demands.... First response: We are doing a 688 Gold, with an under ice campaign, plus interoperability with Fleet Command. We have some other details that might be interesting to you as well, but we can't discuss them yet. -- Paul Grace Latest Response: "As far as 688(I), the only work currently being pursued is modifications for the U.S. Navy. The Navy has been using the game for training ever since 688(I) was first released. They would now like specific modifications to better enable them to utilize the game for training purposes. An example is to included some additional torpedo preset options.
