My maiden voyage in SHIII has been lifeless thus far. Six days sailing in this verdammt rain! The men can barely manage a 4-hour shift on duty in these seas. If they could keep their soup down, they'd be bored to tears. 36 hours in my designated patrol zone, Northeast of Ireland, and not even a seagull to throw stones at. The King George could have sailed within a kilometer and we'd never have spotted it. New orders to relocate to the Faroes. The Faroes! Perhaps the Fuhrer would like a new wool sweater... Should an eager young sea captain with 14 torpedoes at his disposal disregard his orders and set sail, perhaps, for the Irish Sea? Or maintain discipline, stay on station, and harass the Icelandic fishing fleet until the weather clears? - Jens Kruger, U-52 p.s. I'm running 1.4b with GW, if it makes a difference (or if you're curious). Last edited by Mack the Knife; 10-04-06 at 11:03 AM. |
