8km or 16km will change the horizon distance aswell as the ability of your watch crew spotting ships at a further distance.
The light and dark part depends of your monitor. The default installation is 8km Light. I suggest that if your nights are very dark and you find it hard to indentify ships then use the light options. Dan

I decided to leave it at the default value of 8km light... but I now find myself wishing I had installed the 16km light version.
So, Noobish question: How can I change it without having to reinstall the whole thing? |
