Default Where Is Everyone????

Just come back from a mission to DT29 (sw Africia) from Loirent went all the way down the west coast of Africia met no-one and returned to Gib hung out for two days STILL no-one!!! then i got a radio message about a convoy off the north coast of spain, so i high tailed it over to the last reported position and just never found it. With the crew getting seriously Niffed i headed for home, where i was awarded the iron cross with oak leaves.....but my question is what is the longest distance you have sailed without encountering the enermy???

Dito, however when my african seach proved fruitless, I sailed in to freetown (1941) and sunk a docked Liner, a couple of tankers and some small merchants, then I hit a sub net which forced my bow to break the surface and I got mauled by some armed merchies an a DD (which soon after commited suicide by ploughing in to the pier at 18 knots after it attempted to follow me in to the harbour- BOOM!!! )

Good thing about harbour raiding is that you can get some good underkeel shots
if the torpeedo fails to detonate under the ship it can hit the harbour wall next to ship and still cause as much damage. or bounce then hit the shallow ocean floor under ship - same effect... so long as it not a dud, you cant miss!

Hmmm... never had null mission. There are so many ships going around in the waters that you cant miss them. :hmm:

Or if you do, then you dont dive anytime for listening the sea from deep.

I'm in the middle of a dead cruise right now. DN65 (just completed assigned patrol) and back. Haven't seen or heard a damn thing except for the rain and wind. Dec '42 when I left Lorient (can't remember the exact date), it's now Jan 6th '43. Heading back via East coast USA in the hopes of picking something up.
