Default My First Port Infiltration

3rd Patrol, 1st Infiltration. Scapa Flow. Preceeding in during the early morning hours in silent mode. Snuck up close to a Class "C" Destroyer, and a Troop Transport. The only ships currently in harbor. Sent two fish into the Transport, and one into the Destroyer. The Transport sunk immediatly, but the Destroyer took awhile. While I was slowly sneaking back out I got reports that it soon succumbed to the depths.

Class "C" meets the bottom of Scapa Flow.

Eerie side shot.

Full length of the sunken ship.

The remains of the Transport.

Sailing to, or back from the attack.

Scapas actually quite easy to infiltrate from the west (or east if you have GW)
in fact you can sail in to scapa on the surface night or day with out too much hassle during 1939-40.
Enter via the south and you will not likely ever come out again!
You can always park your boat in the little cove just out side of scapa flow (northern most island) and peek in to see if there is any good tonnage in the bay before you bother to make an entrance - very gamey thing to do but still.

Its never been one of my fav ports to infiltrate,I think I was lucky enough to sink a carrier in there twice (GW)but normally I go through Scapa West to East when returning to Bergan 44-45.

(Coming from the South)
If you avoid the shore guns on the western shore near were I most of the time find a pair of fishing boats then you can get some good early war tonnage. Then depending on the number of torps you have left you can leave quietly to the west or take out a any destroyers that are usually found pratically beached on the islands to the south and south west. Either way as long as you don't do anything stupid Scapa is pretty easy to get in and out of.

But heres my question: Has anyone tried to infultrate Gibarlter and survive?
