No Band Playing????

The date is 1. November 1942. I'm about to leave the harbour for a new patrol out of La Spezia. I'm on the brigde, making ready to follow my escort out to sea, but...there is something missing.. Where the H*ll is the band? I want some music and women throwing flowers when i leave! I ask my crew, but noone has seen either of them...
Then i suddenly realized....."oh no, not again"...... "Bernard".....

Last night there was a farewell party in the messhall, and Bernard was really drunk on some ricewine he got from our japanese liason Hop-Sing.. Then he managed to puke in the punch bowl, and since it was Bernard who made the punch in the first place, i dont think anyone realized that it suddenly got "spiked' wit some stomack-content..

My conclusion: Both the band and the flower-womans drank the punch...
I feel sorry for them....

Well, of to patrol!!!

Happens every time I start off from La Spezia. No annoying band.

I leave partol with a smile on my face every damned time:p.

Actually there IS a band in La Spezia! Only problem is, it's two berths away! Next time you start there, switch to external camera and check the other sub berths and you'll see an empty one with the band.

I'm extremely happy with no more German anhen when you leave the port in GW!

They play another tune that is much happyer and if you don't like it, we'll there's a large radio selection the guys made (Three times cheers!!! for the GW Mod Team

I know. But hey, the effect is the same.

I wish certain real-life politicians would follow suit... Imagine them ranting two blocks away from the cameras and audience. Would save us a lot of trouble

my Flak Crew has a damn hard time by not to pulling the trigger of the AA guns at the Band...

Why do everybody hates that band?

I think it's a great touch by the lads who did the stock game, gives a bit of "class" to the game.

It's a great feature, but the same song over and over gets monotone after a while. I'll try to have another look at randomizing it using SH3 Commander.

Well... atleast they are loyal. They start playing the tune when you leave and play it over and over again untill you come back. Oh and if there´s a bombing raid, everyone gets crazy, subs crash dive to safety, DD´s start zig-zagging and firing at them, but what does the band do? Yup, that´s right, they just play. You gotta respect them.

thats because the Harbour Owner told them to play no matter WHAT!

ofcourse he hates that darn song everytime a sub leaves.

Does any country change it's anthem because it's submarine or U-boot Kaleuns don't like to hear it anymore? I don't think so! Could you imagine G.W. Bush complaining about the US national anthem or hail to the chief? LOL!!! Wonder how many loyal republicans would turn from him then?

I like the Med no band playing when I set off just as well that band is a real give away to the Allies when they play the Allies know your slipping out on another patrol.
