Starforce vs Sony VAIO

I just bought a new laptop today, a top of the line Sony VAIO. I was going to get a tablet pc for work, which would have actually been cheaper, but I decided to go for the Sony VAIO because it was the superior computer when it came down to games, mainly because of it's dedicated nVidia Video Card which the other computer lacked...

Anyway, to get to the point: despite the fact that I bought it with SilenHunterIII in mind (or else I would have gotten the other more work oriented Tablet PC) I now find myself to scared of StarForce to install SHIII. I need reasurance from other VAIO users that it won't wreck my computers DVD drive

P.S.: The DVD drive in question is a M a t s h i t a UJ-832D
