Default Can't load AP shells in the naval academy artillery level.

Hi,

Installed SH III with the wondeful GR mods, all workes very well except a couple of small things. In the naval academy artillery level (not the flak) I can only make the star shells and HP shells appear and load. Sinking all the merchant ships with just HP shells is hopeless, perhaps two at most go down. The amunition manger doesn't help. I have uninstalled and re-installed the game and mods three times with no luck. They were available when I first installed the game before I added the GR mods (the ap shells). Is it a bug in the mods or just my system (amd sempron 3000, asrock k7vt4a pro mb, seagate sata hdd, 1.5 Gb ddr. Omega drivers on a radeon 9800 pro agp).
Not sure if this is connected by a similar cause, but the German u-boats in the museum won't render very clearly, almost invisible againsed the blue/grey background, The rest of the German vessels and all the others render perfetly, the entire roster. Anything I can do to amend this.

Hi and welcome aboard
No its not a bug that you have no AP shells
Uboats only carried HE rounds so you wont have any AP in GW
The sea water is darker in GW - if you use SH3commander you can lighten the water if that suits your taste

Default ap shells

Thank you very much. I will try the mod you mentioned, I have seen it available. I will keep trying to work on the seemingly bulletproof merchantmen, I think there must be a formula to get it right. Last night whilst using the time compression mode, I accidentaly drove my u-boat about a third of the way onto the foredeck of one of the partialy sunken coastal freighters, I have a beutiful screen-shot of it. Managed to emergency reverse the boat off, but we sank about a minute later with all hands. A tragic loss, I knew those pixels well. :rotfl:

Yeah the trick is to shoot below the waterline and at different compartment as the ships sink by flooding
GWX will have a different damage model to the NYGM one currently used

You need to go through the Academy using the stock game, then install Grey Wolves. Ships take a lot more damage in GW's damage system.

Wow... I must be doing something wrong ?

Maybe its the reload time but it seems like when Im trying to take down a ship with the 88 it takes much longer with GW installed and appears to take more shells.

Prehaps its just bad luck / aim.
