Add new PLAYER sub

Is there any way you could make a sub that could be used by the player the single missions?

I went over quite a number of posts and topics and only found out that you need Wings3d and making subs is hard!

I really want to see a moderen sub (please spare me the "It doesn't belong in the game" talk or "Use Dangerous Waters") or maybe even add some after WWII subs.

I thank for every answer in advance.

There are at least four submarines available that can be used as playable subs - three by C.B. (a UK one (don't remember which class), a Japanese one, (don't remember which class), and a US Balao class one). There is also a Soviet submarine available, but I forget the class and modder. There should be download links around here somewhere though for all four. They replace current playable U-Boats though - you can't add entirely new ones yet.

No one has created a modern submarine yet - it is not a matter of getting an appropriate model, as I am sure someone around here has one. It is just that is would take a lot of time to get it imported and there are many other WWII-era vessels which are not already in the game which will take precedence.
