Default Re-installing SH3 for GWX.

ok ive been reading about and the general consensus is that it would be recommended that I re-install SH3 and put GWX over a clean install. I just wanted to clarify which folders need to be saved etc as I would be gutted to lose my campaign, on the other hand, if GWX is that different, might it be better to start again anyway, especially if GWX has a big impact on the atlantic campaign as well. any help would be greatly appreciated as we start gearing up for what sounds like another fantastic job from the Grey Wolves, i love these guys! they work flat out to give us the best possible WW2 sub sim.

Best of just saving the careers folder Dan
No the atlantic has not been forgotten though as you can appreciate the bulk of the new work is in the Med\Indian Ocean and Black sea

I would strongly recommend restarting the campaign. Any mod that makes drastic changes to the campaign like GWX will, will cause problems for existing campaigns.
You have a little time to finish your current campaign anyway, try not to think about GWX too much yet.

Dan

This is one of the posts that makes me want to do the best job for GWX!

Regarding the impact you mentioned, it will not involve just the atlantic campaign anymore...

this doesnt mean that you have to remove the original install? Could i just do like i did with NYGM and GW, separate installs? (Wow, then when GWX is released, i will have 3 different SHIII installs in my computer...Addicted? ohhh yess!!!)

yeh I dont think Das Boot makes you feel any easier :hmm: my only concern is that with all this extra going on in other theatres etc...how will this affect performance, after all the game as it stands now is fairly demanding.
