Default re-install and reloading save game

I've had to do a full re-format and Windows reload. I backed up the SH3 folder from My Documents. So when I reinstall SH3 plus GW, then add in the mods I had before, then presumably all I have to do is copy over my old SH3 folder to My Documents, then start up SH3 via SH3Cmdr and presumably I should be able to open my saved campaign? If I don't have it right or if any tips on this, would much appreciate. Tks.

Yep, that should work.

Side note: I would not recommend mixing the Grey Wolves super mod with other mods, since great care was taken to ensure consistency between all the mods that the Grey Wolves super mod includes, a consistency that you risk by adding yet another mod to the game.... It's sort of like medication, you got to be careful not to mix two that don't go well togheter, or you might end up getting nasty side effects

Tks guys.

I just use a few minor mods that work fine with GW ... better hands, eg, some file tweaks to get rid of the slideout station menu etc.

I could just use a bit of advice. I reinstalled the same as I had things before, and copied my backup sh3 subdirectory into My Documents, ditto the sh3cmdr personnel files folder. I started up sh3comdr and it showed my saved career ok. I reset some of the sh3 options to what I had before, then launched sh3. Started fine (with exception intro videos don't play properly, I get kaleidoscope stuff going on) and the sh3 menu comes up, go into career saves and there are my old saves. Things go wrong just a few seconds into the game being loaded (control room at start) when all of a sudden the boat is sunk. I tried the previous save and the same thing happened.

Thought I'd ask if any suggestions for fixing before dumping and creating a new career. I guess could be it didn't like sh3cmdr option changes in mid-career?
